Midra is an embattled continent contested by a puritan faith and a lusty cult. At the turn of every century, the faiths conduct a ritual to summon their champion from another world,
and whichever ritual succeeds decides the dominant faith.
Last century, the puritans succeeded in completing the ritual, but the evil cult didn’t vanish.
They retreated to the darkness, biding their time while plotting a counter that would turn the tables.
